How One Presentation Bought an Educator to Tears, and Inspired a Movement
The Story Behind Motivated Education
From Self-Doubt to Empowering Educators: My Journey of Transformation
Â
Hi, I’m Ian "Intervention Ian" Moore, and I help educators develop mindsets that enable success in the classroom. Over the years, working with school districts to implement intervention programs, I discovered a powerful truth: mindset had more to do with success in the classroom than curriculum ever would. That’s when I realized my personal development journey would make a greater impact than any of the products I sold. Now, through Motivated Education, I equip educators with the tools they need to develop mindsets of belief in themselves and their students—because Mindset > Curriculum.
Wear the Message. Be the Belief.
Empower your students, inspire change, and wear the belief that transforms lives—be the message today!

At the beginning of my journey, I struggled to believe that personal development could truly change my life. My old ways of thinking constantly surfaced—self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and the trap of comparison. I remember attending my first meeting as a young educational sales rep and feeling completely out of place. Everyone seemed to know each other, and I thought, I will never be as good as them.
Teaching mirrors this challenge. Just like in sales, educators must convince students—especially those in intervention programs—that success is possible. I call this the principle of borrowed belief.
The Turning Point: Discovering My Calling
Everything changed the day I presented on growth mindset to a group of administrators. After my talk, a principal insisted that all of her teachers attend my session the next day. At the end of that presentation, a teacher approached me in tears and said, I never realized how much my words impacted my students until I heard your presentation.
Driving home for four hours, I couldn’t stop thinking about that moment. I was energized, but deeply moved. That day, I knew I had found my true calling—to serve educators by helping them develop the mindsets necessary for success.
A New Path: Building Motivated Education
I embraced every opportunity to speak to teachers and students, and with each conversation, I witnessed the spark of belief being ignited. Eventually, I founded Motivated Education to tackle the unique challenge of helping intervention students transition successfully into core classrooms. Today, I do this through:
- Speaking engagements
- Coaching for teachers and school districts
- Mentoring for students
- Personal development courses for educators
- Books and resources
- Consulting on program implementation and vision creation
I Understand Your Challenges—Because I’ve Been There
Having worked with educators across the country, I’ve seen the same struggles repeatedly—teachers unsure of their impact and students who have faced failure for so long they’ve stopped believing in themselves. I always tell educators:
“The more you develop yourself, the more equipped you'll be to serve your students.”
I know how it feels to doubt yourself, but I also know what’s possible when belief takes root.
Why Trust Me?

My mission is simple: To empower educators to develop the belief in themselves that leads to transformational success in their classrooms. I’m passionate about helping you see that success starts with the right mindset.
